Active School Flag

At St Michaels House Special National School Ballymun, we are proud to take part in the Active School Initiative, promoting physical activity and well-being for all our pupils. Through a variety of fun and engaging activities, we encourage movement throughout the school day, helping students develop a lifelong love of exercise.
From structured PE lessons and movement breaks to outdoor play and special activity events, we create opportunities for every child to stay active in a way that suits their abilities and interests. We also work closely with staff, families, and the wider community to foster a positive, health-focused school environment.
By participating in the Active School Initiative, we aim to support not only our students’ physical development but also their social, emotional, and cognitive well-being. Together, we are building a healthier, happier school community!
As part of our Active Flag initiative, Glen and Sean from DalyExercise delivered a series of high-energy PE sessions over the past few weeks. Their fun, movement-focused activities helped promote physical fitness, teamwork, and a love for staying active, supporting our school’s commitment to health and well-being.
